School Newsletter
We tried something new for our last meeting in December and we had a fantastic turn out to both Craft Night and our PTO Meeting! We had a good discussion about fundraisers for the rest of the school year. Here is a quick heads up for fundraisers for the rest of the year:
▪Penny Wars - start collecting! This is a grade vs grade penny collecting fundraiser! Each grade chooses a cause or charity to support.(February )
▪Butter Braids - Frozen pastries in a variety of flavors (February-March)
▪Dining For A Cause - Families and community are invited to eat out at our local 99. A portion of the bill will be donated to our school. We will be looking for raffle donations.
▪Original Works - Our art teacher will work with students to create beautiful artwork that can printed onto keychains, cups, mugs and more. This fundraiser support our school’s Art fund. (April-May)
We also talked about alternative fundraisers; the idea of sending home envelopes for families who want to give but may not want to purchase a specific item. We have ongoing fundraisers : Box Tops, Target Red Card, and Stop Shop A+Reward -it all adds up!
Our next meeting will be January 13th at 4pm. Our February meeting date hasn't been determined however it will be at 6pm. Alternating meeting times looks like it is working great! Remember if you miss a meeting reading the school newsletter, visiting our website or sending an email to us can keep you up to date! !
